Opening on the dissection of a newfound, yearning independence, a synth-laden groove soon enters the frame as the hook-fuelled chorus sees Omahrose toy with the idea of being walked on, or walking on. Throughout, an interplay between her expressive vocals and the unrelenting, head-nodding arrangement provides a depth made for multiple rotations.

“This is a song about turmoil, about the tension between taking advantage and being taken advantage of,” Omahrose says. “Like everything I write, it is uncomfortable, because I speak from the middle of things – from where there is no resolution.”

Because the more things change, the more they stay the same. So, sink into its uneven flow. Maybe things will be ok.
