about
Opening on the dissection of a newfound, yearning independence, a synth-laden groove soon enters the frame as the hook-fuelled chorus sees Omahrose toy with the idea of being walked on, or walking on. Throughout, an interplay between her expressive vocals and the unrelenting, head-nodding arrangement provides a depth made for multiple rotations.
“This is a song about turmoil, about the tension between taking advantage and being taken advantage of,” Omahrose says. “Like everything I write, it is uncomfortable, because I speak from the middle of things – from where there is no resolution.”
Because the more things change, the more they stay the same. So, sink into its uneven flow. Maybe things will be ok.
lyrics
VERSE 1:
I've been climbing up the walls
I laid my pride down flat to break my fall
I scraped my hand against my blueing balls
You broke it down and shit you saved it all
I squeezed a lemon on my ecstasy
Took my traditional old school best beliefs
And praised it
Marinated it
Paraded, celebrated, reinforced and consummated it
PRE-CHORUS 1:
You pulled out at once
Didn’t tell me twice
Pulled a rabbit from my hat
Just to pay the price
Now I'm a fool and you so cool
Yeah that's the rule and you so cool
CHORUS:
Walk all over me, say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
Walk all over me, say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
Walk all over me, say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
Walk all over me, say you love me
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
VERSE 2:
Sponge it up
Squeeze it out
Milky silky melting pot
You want me but you don't
The price is higher than the quote
She's a lady in the street
Freak in the sheets
Who thought my pain would be your defeat
It came, you saw, you wanted more
Be strong baby girl as before
And walk on me
CHORUS:
Walk all over me, say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
Walk all over me, say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
Walk all over me, say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
Walk all over me, say you love me
Walk all over me, say you love me
Just
BRIDGE:
Tissue paper over the cracks
What a shame it came down to that
It's really never real after that
It's really never real
It's really never real after that
CHORUS:
“It's really never real after that
It's really never real”
(x4) (in the background)
Walk all over me say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me say you love me
Just
Walk all over me say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me say you love me
Just
Walk all over me say you love me
Dont
Walk all over me say you love me
Just
Walk all over me say you love me
Walk all over me say you love me
Just
